Long Bay Adventure Kayaking Tour

DETAILED ITINERARY
Ha Long Bay, located in the Gulf of Tonkin,
covers an area of 1500 square km. with more than a thousand limestone peaks
soaring from its crystalline emerald water. The calm sea provides an ideal
location for sea kayaking as we paddle through a maze of islets amid
dramatic natural scenery. With our modern kayaking equipment, we are able to
maximize on speed and maneuverability as we paddle through the open sea and
explore the many hidden lagoons and stalagmite caves that are difficult to
access by any other means. After a day of paddling, we unwind on a deserted
beach on one of Halong's many islands and enjoy dinner before retiring to
sleep under a blanket of stars. This tour is ideal for those people who have
very limited time in their schedule. Combining the best of sea kayaking and
camping it allows the novice and the experienced kayakers to sample the
delights of this sport in some of Vietnam's most stunning scenery. Our
equipment includes modern Zebec Kayaks, which are lightweight, stable and
safe with lightweight aluminium paddles. All passengers and guides are
supplied with modern, international standard buoyancy vests. We also use
lightweight tents, all of which are fitted with mosquito screens. In keeping
with our philosophies on safety, our guides have been trained in basic first
aid and CPR by an international medical clinic.
ITINERARY
Day 1: Hanoi - Ha Long City
(Lunch & dinner included)
Heading out of town we make our way towards Halong Bay, truly one of
Vietnams most scenic impressive sights. On arrival in Halong we embark on a
boat for an exploration of the legendary Halong Bay. Along the trip we learn
some kayak orientation and instruction in paddling technique. We begin our
first kayaking experience to discover the limestone karst formations which
are littered with beaches, grottoes and beautiful caves, and visit one of
the many hidden grottoes beneath towering cliffs. At the end of afternoon we
return to our escorted boat for relaxation and dinner. The night paddle is
available for kayaking fervor. O/N on board.
Day 2: Ha Long Bay (Breakfast, lunch & dinner included)
TThe views of sailing junks navigating past over 3,000 limestone islands and
outcrops jutting out of the clear and emerald water of the bay are nothing
short of spectacular. After breakfast on board we make our way to other
island and anchor for second paddle. Rowing around this island is a great
way to explore rock formations, caves and many secluded lagoons. In late
morning we regroup at our escorted boat for lunch. Upon leaving this area we
head towards the south of Cat Ba Island. Here we continue our kayak trip at
own pace, past the scenic landscape of limestone islets and beaches. O/N on
board.
Day 3: Ha Long Bay - Hanoi (Breakfast, lunch included)
Today we spend a couple of hour rowing
to discover some caves and lagoons in northern coast of Cat Ba Island, and
enjoy last swimming opportunity. Afterwards we return to escorted boat for
two hour cruise to Halong Pier. Here we meet up with out waiting for vehicle
for return journey. The trip ends after arrival in Hanoi
